Media Literacy

I was talking the other day with a young teenage girl about ads we see daily. I was explaining to her about how images can be changed and "photoshopped". She knew they could be retouched, but didn't really know how much. Just for fun I showed her a few before and after pictures of models being retouched. She was shocked! We walked by a magazine rack and she picked one up and looked and said "She has no lines from smiling! How is that possible?" I was so proud. I wish more young people were aware of this false sense of "perfect" bodies depicted in the media.

That liquefy effect in the video is crazy!
